The most recent trends for home improvement are about solutions that provide ways to better utilize spaces for storage. It is also about helping people manage their busy schedules while maintaining a healthy family life. For most people a simple cabinet with lower and upper functionality will due nicely, and at times a shelf, but with some modification a pantry or book shelf could also be used.
The Snack Center
One shelf can be for bowls of fruit, one shelf can be for soups and crackers, and another can be for lunch bags. The bottom cabinet can be a place where the kids can quickly grab all of their prepackaged snacks and treats.
The Breakfast Station
This can be a place where all your breakfast foods can be stored, such as cereal, bagels, and oatmeal. Try storing each type of food in separate drawers while packaging it in separate bags that state the kind of food contained within.
The Baking Station
The baking station portion of your new piece of furniture can be a place that can indeed fulfill such a task. Try and place all of your sugar, baking powder, flour, and other commonly used ingredients in the designated areas that you've determined beforehand. You can also place all of your baking equipment including pots, spoons, pans and spatulas, as well as your rolling pin in the right storage containers. Don't hesitate to get creative by adding magnetic containers for certain kinds of ingredients such as coconut, chocolate chips, sprinkles, and other types of toppings.
The Bartending Station
With your new piece of converted, all-purpose furniture you can achieve just that. You can designate a shelf for highball glasses and shot glasses. On the appropriate door try hanging some bar utensils and maybe a corkscrew. Don't hesitate to place x-shaped dividers or a wine-rack for all of your bottles of vino. You can then add wire racks for other related bar products, such as drink mixes, garnished, cherries, napkins, and coasters.
The Craft Closet
Use large shelves for some of you bigger equipment such as sewing machines and wrapping paper.
